Bellwether Housing

In collaboration with Emerald Cities – Seattle, WA

Project Overview

Founded in 1980, Bellwether Housing is Seattle’s largest nonprofit affordable housing provider. They serve 3200 residents in 2100 apartments and are growing like crazy. Emerald Cities is a national nonprofit organization with a focus on “including low-income communities of color in the green economy.” Emerald Cities provided Bellwether with building audits and needed an organization to implement the specified measures.

Sage Conservation provided effective installation and education services to Bellwether’s Genesee Apartments, a 50-unit building in Genesee Park. Scope of work included replacing all toilets, aerators, shower heads and lighting with water and energy efficient fixtures while interacting with staff and tenants to educate them on the changes. This project was completed under schedule and only warranted positive feedback from all parties involved.
